About the event
Ever wanted to spend more time being creative, but your life gets in the way? Ever felt like giving up when your creative journey gets tough? Ever felt misunderstood by people, discouraged by lack of support or stuck for ideas? Artist in Your Own Residence, pioneered and piloted by Seeds Ltd in 2014, is relaunching in January 2020 with a FREE online session to introduce the mentoring scheme and explain how it works and how you can get involved.
The Artist in Your Own Residence scheme runs for 12 months every year, from Epiphany one year to Twelfth Night the next. The programme gives artists the chance to make time to realise their own dreams by allocating time in busy schedules to set aside for creative work, with help and support from our in-house team and allocated ‘soul friend’ advocates and mentors, themselves also artists. We define the word ‘artist’ broadly, as anyone persuing a creative project for the marketplace: this definition includes scientists, inventors and entrepreneurs, as well as media, arts and entertainment practitioners.
Come along on 6 January 2020, bearing your artistic and creative gifts, ready to hear about how you can get involved with Artist in Your Own Residence in 2020, perhaps settled down for the session with a hot drink and a piece of cake.
The cake below is traditional fare for Twelfth Night (known as Twelfth Night Cake or King’s Cake). Here is a Mary Berry recipe for making one for yourself at home: BBC Food
